The official name of India is the Republic of India. The name “India†derives from the River Indus, which most likely is derived from the Sanskrit sindhu, meaning “river.†The official Sanskrit name of India is Bharat, after the legendary king in the epic Mahabharata.
Curiosity Corner
To give comprehensive information about any doubts, we have a very special arrangement called ‘CURIOSITY CORNER’, a box that enlightens the students about their curiosity to know, understand anything of their choice. Here, a box with facility to drop in slips of questions related to any subjects is kept at the main entrance of the school. Students are free to drop any of their doubts on any of the topics/ subjects in the form of a question chit. Once in a fortnight, the box will be opened and in the form of a general assembly in A-V room, all the questions will be answered on a big display screen using PPTs, which certainly is playing a pivotal role in erasing doubts and enhancing the thinking process among pupils.
